CSCA / Universities that require CSCA for undergraduate admission
Universities that require CSCA for undergraduate admission
There is no single national list of universities and scores. The requirement is published by each university, for each intake, and sometimes for each major — so the reliable answer always comes from the admissions page itself.
Applicants for undergraduate study at Chinese Government Scholarship universities are expected to sit CSCA before applying, with the score report submitted as part of the application file. Individual universities publish their own subject combinations, minimum scores and exemptions, so the requirement must be confirmed on each university’s current international admissions notice.
How to check a specific university
Start from the international admissions page, not the main site
Chinese universities usually run a separate international admissions site or section. The undergraduate admission notice published there for the current intake is the document that governs your application.
Look for the subject table, not just the word “CSCA”
A university that requires the assessment will normally publish which papers apply to which programme group. That table determines your registration, so save a copy with its publication date.
Check whether a minimum score is published
Some universities publish a threshold; others use the score as one factor in a broader review. Both are normal, and the difference changes how much a retake is worth to you.
Email admissions if the notice is silent
If the current notice does not mention the assessment at all, ask directly and keep the reply. A written answer from the admissions office is worth more than any third-party list, including this one.

Sourcing
University records are compiled from official university admissions pages and Chinese government sources; see our editorial method. We do not publish a per-university CSCA requirement, because that requirement is set per intake and per major and would go out of date faster than it could be verified.
